The past few days the group spent working on various jobs around the camp. On the first day in the morning the group spent time inside vacuuming, cleaning carpets, rearranging the library and closets, cleaning the kitchen, doing laundry, and washing windows in the lodge due to the rain. The rest of the days the weather has been nice so we have spent time pulling weeds, moving lumber, pulling out rocks, rebuilding the fire-pit, creating a horse shoe pit, building fences and removing them, weedwacking, cleaning tables, cleaning grills, hanging up bee traps, cleaning out the shed, pulling out a dock, cutting down thistle, painting a room, building a rock wall, and rearranging a counselor's lodge. For fun the group did a high ropes course and blobbing on the lake. Last night the group was able to enjoy the newly finished fire-pit for worship with a campfire. Tonight we're off to the play "Singing in the Rain" in Bigfork. And tomorrow we're headed off to Glacier National Park for sightseeing and hiking.

Hey Senior Highs! It looks like you all are having a lot of fun! The picture of ??? jumping in the lake--AWESOME! The work sounds hard--but everyone has smiles--To help a neighbor in need is part of a complete life. It is how you make sure your life has a meaning larger than yourself. One of life's greatest joys is to live a giving existence -- to be of service to others. Have a GREAT time--and take LOTS of photos--it looks BEAUTIFUL! (Ashton says: PS Brennan, get to the FRONT for a few group shots! :-))
ReplyDeleteWow, great photos, great work, great fun , and everything looks so gorgeous out there. Can't imagine who would be fool enough to jump in the lake like that though..... Enjoy the rest of your trip , especially the RAFTING! Lynda Albaugh
ReplyDeleteWe're watching you - all of you great leaders! It's pretty cool that you are taking a week of summer to do this and help a fellow ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Thanks again everyone for your work.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Brennan, Christian, Kellie, Matthew, Gary, and Aubrey, need you at the front for some more great photos!
